Maureen MacDonald, ND
Maureen MacDonald, ND

Maureen MacDonald, ND made a presentation on Integrative Naturopathic care for Prostate Cancer: an exploration of complementary care options. An audio copy of the presentation, with PowerPoint slides, is posted, below.

Maureen MacDonald is a naturopathic doctor who has chosen to work in naturopathic oncology because of the tremendous benefits patients receive with integrative care. She is a strong supporter of pre-emptive cancer measures, as well as integrating individualized care during and after conventional treatment. After obtaining an honours undergraduate degree in plant science Maureen pursued the four-year full time naturopathic medicine program at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has additional training and certification in IV therapy for integrative cancer care, immune and general health support. Dr. MacDonald believes that the cornerstone of health is found in the fields in which our food grows. She grew up on a wild blueberry farm where the lessons of field development and ecosystem succession have transcended into her understanding of how the synergistic blending of the body’s components leads to wellness. Maureen is very interested in supporting wellness and decreasing biological burden of environmental toxins.
