Newly Diagnosed and Peer Support

PCCNO promptly responds to calls and emails from men dealing with prostate cancer. Our Peer Support Coordinator, Harvey Nuelle, has been providing support directly to all those affected by prostate cancer for a number of years and can help put diagnosis, treatment, side-effects and everything in between into perspective. We can arrange one-on-one peer support meetings with men who wish to discuss more privately their personal situation.

Our monthly meetings are dedicated to providing information, fellowship, and support to all who have been touched by the disease. We will arrange one-on-one peer support meetings with men who wish to discuss more privately their personal situation.

PCCNO also partners with the Ottawa Cancer Foundation's Maplesoft Centre. We recognize that in addition to effective peer relationships, the Cancer Coaching Program of Maplesoft may add an additional layer of support to men and their families who need a more in depth approach to their cancer care. PCCNO can arrange a referral to this program. In all cases PCCNO respects the choice of men in how they deal with their cancer care.
